Brad Scott was clearly disappointed with several players following the loss to Adelaide, but has quelled his rage at the selection table making the solitary change for Sunday's clash with the Demons.

Brad McKenzie's 18 disposal, two goal game for North Ballarat caught the eye of the match committee with the 21-year-old brought back into the Kangaroos' side to take on Melbourne.

Operating at 80 per cent efficiency with 4 inside 50’s against Casey, McKenzie will need to build on that performance at the MCG.
The South Australian will play his first AFL game since Round 7 and takes the spot of Liam Anthony who has been omitted.

Scott admitted was weighing up whether to persist with the current crop of players or swing the axe when he spoke to the media on Thursday.
"I'm a really big believer in coaching players through challenges they face..." he told the media on Thursday.

His patience though, clearly waning.

"...we've certainly got a lot of guys...their own performance has put them on notice so those guys will have to step up but we've got tyne fortunate position where we've got a few payers retiring from injury, we've got some players in good form in the VFL so we're really open-minded with selection this week..."

Midfielder Trent Dumont and key forward/ruck Ben Brown edge close to their respective AFL debuts - both named as emergencies for the first time.
