North is fast approaching 30,000 members, with a new record in sight according to CEO Carl Dilena.

The Roos are benefiting from some serious pre-season hype being generated by fans and media, with their tally already 4,300 members up on the same time last year.

“It’s wonderful achievement to be that far up already,” Dilena said.

“To see this level of support before we have even played Round 1 is very humbling.”

The remarkable result coincides with Membership Week, a time the club has devoted to driving membership sales to close the gap on its target of 40,000.

Membership Week kicks off on Monday March 3 and will include a number of competitions, activities, offers and great prize giveaways. Prizes include the chance to have a photo taken with the team and the opportunity to be part of a special guard of honour.

Here is a snapshot of the types of activities you can expect in Membership Week:

Monday: North players will be taking matters into their own hands by calling supporters for the 2014 season during a club telethon.
Tuesday: Captain Andrew Swallow and President James Brayshaw will take to air on SEN 1116, discussing the upcoming season and answering questions from listeners.

The club will also have a membership branded bus, featuring Jack Ziebell, on the roads in Tullamarine and surrounding areas.
