Todd Goldstein and Levi Greenwood were unanimously judged as the two best players on ground by Brad Scott and Damien Hardwick on Sunday.

In a 5-4-3-2-1 voting format, the pair each received a five and a four from the respective coaches. While North as a team clicked after half-time, Goldstein and Greenwood were two who were consistent the entire way through.

Goldstein collected dual season-highs of 20 disposals and 43 hit-outs against the Tigers, to go with a sealing goal late in the final term. His ability to give midfielders first use of the ball played a large part in the 13 goal to 3 second half.

One of the on-ballers to feed off the ruckman was Greenwood, who continued his fine season with another 29 disposals, 5 tackles and a goal. He played on Trent Cotchin and although the Tigers’ captain collected 24 possessions of his own, they were largely ineffectual.

The nine votes to Greenwood takes him to 25 for the season, third amongst Kangaroos and only eight off the joint leaders.

One of those leaders is Brent Harvey, who polled a further three votes for his outing. 25 disposals, 10 score involvements and 3 goals continued the 36-year-old on the path to a career year, 19 seasons after his debut.

Drew Petrie’s four goal haul, a season-high, earned the vice-captain his first four votes of 2014. He has now kicked 9 goals in his past three games, his scoreboard pressure now reflecting his excellent work off the ball.

Alongside Petrie, skipper Andrew Swallow was another Roo to poll for the first time this season. His fourth game back from an achilles injury was clearly his best, with his work in close back to the Swallow of old.

The skipper’s nine clearances led all players on the ground and earned him one vote.
