North ruckman Dan Currie is a chance to return to the VFL this week after fracturing his scapula several weeks ago.

The 25-year-old received a knee to the scapula in Round 10 with Werribee and was taken from the ground in the first quarter.

While the Tigers will welcome back their big man, the team will have to get by without tagger Tim McGenness who may have dislocated his shoulder.

Meanwhile Jack Ziebell, Leigh Adams, Lachlan Hansen and Luke McDonald will be under the watchful eye of North medical staff on the training track as they push top prove their fitness ahead of the Friday night clash with Carlton.
