Sydney's Lewis Roberts-Thomson has piled praise on Sunday's opponent, labelling North Melbourne as 'exciting'.

The utility also pointed to the Kangaroos' run late in games, an area the Swans themselves excelled in last week against the Crows.

“You look at the weekend’s game against Port and the way they were able to fight back and to win that game was a really good team performance," Roberts-Thomson said.

“North’s fitness is going to be very, very good and that’s a challenge for us."

Despite winning every game between the sides since 2007, Sydney won't be taking North lightly.

“They’ve got a number of just fantastic players like (Brent) Harvey, (Daniel) Wells, (Nick) Dal Santo and the list goes on," Roberts-Thomson added.

“They’ve also got (Drew) Petrie who can kick a number of goals.

“Across the board their forwards, mids and defenders...they all played pretty well (last week) at the stages where the game was there to be won.

“For us it’s going to be a really, really big team challenge.”

The Swans are set to go in with an unchanged lineup for their first home match of the year, while North has recalled Michael Firrito to replace Jamie Macmillan, sidelined with a broken leg.
