A convincing win over Melbourne last week has meant for minimal changes to the North Melbourne lineup for the match against the Lions.

As revealed by NMFC.com.au on Wednesday afternoon, rookie Max Warren has been given the nod to make his AFL debut, replacing an injured Robbie Nahas in the side.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for Max to get his spot in the team and hopefully he takes it with both hands," vice-captain Jack Ziebell told Triple M's Rush Hour show.

Warren takes Joel Tippett's spot on the Kangaroos' primary list after the key defender suffered a 'long term injury' with a torn pectoral muscle.

Majak Daw, Liam Anthony and Ben Jacobs have been named as emergencies for the match at the GABBA which will be the second time this season the Roos have lined up against Brisbane.

The Lions have made four changes to the team that was thrashed by Fremantle last week, with veteran Ash McGrath among the most notable inclusions.
