North Melbourne will regain its vice-captain for an all-important clash with Carlton on Friday night. Missing from the side for the past two weeks with a knee injury, Jack Ziebell has been named in the 22 after passing a fitness test and training strongly during the week.

Injuries have restricted the 23-year-old to just eleven games so far this season but he'll be looking to have a big impact on proceedings at Etihad with the Blues looming as a danger side. Earlier in the year Ziebell battled a serious shoulder injury that kept him on the sidelines for an extended period.

Meanwhile Luke McDonald has shaken off the virus which kept him out of the team that beat St Kilda in Hobart last Saturday and will also play.

Aaron Mullett is again out of favour, as is Brad McKenzie; both omitted by Brad Scott and the match committee.

The pair has been put on the emergency list along with Majak Daw.

Meanwhile Carlton has made three changes, bringing in Cameron Wood, Troy Menzel and Mitch Robinson for Robert Warnock, Blaine Johnson and Andrew Walker.
