North Melbourne arrived in sunny Hobart on the eve of the club's first ever game in the south of Tasmania and the team was welcomed by hundreds of locals with open arms.

The players were taken through a light training session at Blundstone Arena on Saturday morning in front of a crowd of more than 250 supporters, all decked out in royal blue and white.

Kanga the club mascot mingled with fans throughout the session and to finish the morning, senior coach Brad Scott and the playing group signed autographs and posed for photos.

Cameron Delaney trained well ahead of his debut against the Greater Western Sydney Giants as he prepares to fill the void left by the injured Robbie Tarrant.
