With North Melbourne’s final pick of the 2013 National Draft, it selected ruckman/forward Ben Brown from Werribee FC.

AFL.com.au profile Ruckman/tall forward in his first year of VFL football at Werribee. Former Tasmanian under-18 and senior representative with terrific aerobic capacity and contested-marking ability who also competes ferociously at ground level.

Ben Brown speaks to NMFC.com.au

What the recruiter said
"It's great reward for Ben. He moved over from Glenorchy to Werribee in the VFL. As a tall, athletic strong marking forward/ruck, he ended up kicking 29 goals for the Tigers. He represented Tasmania a couple of years ago, had some injuries that might have held him back, but has got himself right. Being a little bit closer with our Werribee alignment may have given us a bit of an inkling." – Bryce Lewis
