North Melbourne could be granted its wish for more Friday night blockbusters in 2014, with The Age's Caroline Wilson reporting it will play five games in the prime-time slot.

The pioneers of the concept, North took on West Coast, Carlton and Geelong in Friday night fixtures this season, drawing large TV audiences and attendances at the games.

AFL.com.au previously predicted the Kangaroos would open the season against Essendon under lights, while The Mercury's Brett Stubbs reported Nick Dal Santo will face off against his old  St Kilda team-mates for the first time at Blundstone Arena in July.

The Herald Sun says North will play Adelaide in the second of its Hobart fixtures.

The full 2014 fixture will be released next week.
