Former North skipper, Andrew Swallow, could enter the coaching ranks as early as next season according to his manager, Colin Young.

The Gold Coast Bulletin claims the move may see the Swallow brothers united, as originally planned.

The 30-year-old announced his retirement last week, after declaring he would love to join his younger brother David at the Suns – but the Gold Coast didn’t follow through.

“He will sit back now and relax and work out what he wants to do,” Young said.

Talks about coaching positions with the Suns or AFL Queensland are understood to have commenced following the exits of former head of development Matthew Lappin and NEAFL coach Stephen Daniel.

Swallow played 224 games for the Kangaroos over 12 years.
