North Melbourne will be sweating on the fitness of two of its stars ahead of the clash against the Bulldogs.

Levi Greenwood (leg) and Lachlan Hansen (hip) were late withdrawals from the side that defeated the Giants on Saturday, and will be put to the test at training this week.

The pair are sure to be given up to the last minute to prove their availability, with Greenwood in career-best form and Hansen a vital cog in the Kangaroos’ defensive six this season.

Presuming he gets through training, Jamie Macmillan is considered a good chance to return via the VFL.

Having not played at any level since Round 3 due to a broken fibula, Macmillan has undergone a patient recovery process. He’s spent the last few weeks increasing his fitness and conditioning work in a bid to hit the ground running.

Tagger Tim McGenniss was given another week to continue his recovery from a shoulder injury, but could make his return this weekend.

Also on the comeback trail from a shoulder injury, Robin Nahas looks set to get back out on the field in the next fortnight, while Kieran Harper faces a test on his foot after sustaining an injury on Sunday.
