He’s been one of the most consistent performers in the VFL for North Ballarat and now Cam Delaney has earned his stripes for the Kangaroos.

26 disposals, 11 marks and 10 one percenters against Frankston on Sunday was the tipping point for Brad Scott and the match committee, selecting Delaney in the 22 to take on Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Affectionately known as ‘Leggy’, the 21-year-old hasn’t played since Round 10 last year when North lost to Hawthorn by 115-points in Launceston.

Scott McMahon is the player to make way and is the only omission from the side that fell to Carlton last Friday night.  Returning from an ankle injury against the Blues, McMahon was substituted out in the third quarter.

Ben Jacobs has been named as an emergency after his terrific game for the Roosters and is joined by Luke Delaney and Sam Wright.
