North Melbourne’s VFL side is set to open a bumper afternoon of football, with a curtain-raiser against Richmond at Etihad Stadium.

It's an important game for North’s young side, which will be looking to make amends after a disappointing loss to Essendon last week.

Meanwhile, the third-placed Tigers will aim to bounce back following their first loss of the season in a one-point thriller to Footscray.

Sunday morning’s curtain-raiser will be North’s second for the season, following the clash against the AFL Academy at the MCG in April.

Ticket-holders to North’s AFL match against Richmond will gain free admission to the VFL game.

Fans are invited to attend Sunday’s VFL curtain-raiser against Richmond at Etihad Stadium, with the first bounce at 9.35am.
