8.30 remaining: While the Kangaroos have all the momentum, Geelong just won't go away. James Podsiadly marks strongly on the goal line and slots his fourth GOAL.

4.45 remaining: Another Cats GOAL - this time to Shannon Byrnes. North by 26.
2.25 remaining: After a long kick-out from Geelong, Hamish McIntosh pulls down a terrific contested mark. Held after the mark, he receives a 50m penalty and kicks an easy set shot GOAL. North by 30.
0.25 remaining: Aaron Edwards pulls off a clever pass to Jack Ziebell about 30 out. Ziebell goes back and kicks the GOAL on the siren to extend the lead.

7.20 remaining: Following a flurry of North goals, Aaron Edwards gets the chance to sew up the win when the ball falls to the back of the pack 40 out. Edwards is unable to gather though and his kick across the face rolls out of bounds. North by 24.
5.45 remaining: Leigh Adams lays a brilliant tackle on a Geelong player but goes unrewarded, before Sam Wright is caught holding the ball. Jimmy Bartel's resulting kick goes to the right. North by 23.
