Richmond’s number one ruckman, Ivan Maric, will miss Saturday’s clash with North Melbourne as he continues to make his way back from a groin injury.

It forced him to miss the Tigers’ win over St Kilda and hasn’t sufficiently recovered in time.

Maric's ommision could provide a boost for North Melbourne given he was one of Richmond's best when the teams last met. He collected 15 possessions, 11 of which were contested, and 34 hit-outs.

In Maric’s absence, Orren Stephenson looks likely to continue as the Tigers’ main ruck option at centre bounces and around the ground, with Tyrone Vickery to provide able support.

Vickery’s two highest hit-out totals in 2013 have come in the games Maric has missed.

Nick Vlastuin may return to the side after missing the game against St Kilda with a bruised shin.
