A strong team showing in last week’s victory over GWS has seen seven players awarded coaches votes by Darren Crocker and Alan McConnell, the most of any team from Round 3.

The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos kept their opposition scoreless in the first half and led by 47-points at the final break before running out as 27-point winners.

Ash Riddell was chosen as best on ground by both coaches, and was awarded ten votes for her dominant 23 disposal, 5 tackle and 6 clearance display in midfield.

It was Riddell’s second ten vote performance in three games, and she currently leads the race for the award by one vote over Richmond’s Monique Conti.

Emma Kearney’s strong all-around performance off the half-back flank saw her receive seven votes, as she collected 16 touches and kicked the game’s first goal.

Kaitlyn Ashmore was an effective influence on the wing, with her 16 disposal effort seeing her register four votes of her own.

Ellie Gavalas and Daria Bannister were North’s multiple goal-kickers on the day and picked up three and two votes respectively, while Aileen Gilroy was back to her best and earned two votes for her efforts.

Sophie Abbatangelo finished the game with six tackles in the forward half and received one vote, rounding out the votes for the Roos.
