After a week of speculation about who would be in the 22 to travel to Skoda Stadium, the match committee has sprung a minor surprise by not making a change.

In the post-game press conference following the loss to Fremantle, Brad Scott flagged the possibility for changes.

"The temptation...is to look at players who have been on the cusp of selection for a long period of time.

"The concern more so is, do we have to get some AFL football into some players that we may need over the next couple of weeks?"

Yet mid-week, Scott was content to back the side which, by and large, earned North its first finals appearance in four years.

'I doubt we'll make any changes and if we do it'll be minimal changes"

"We'll give the side another chance to go out and fix a few of the things we need to fix and get some real momentum going into the finals series," he said.

It means both Daniel Wells and Nathan Grima will miss their third consecutive game.

With Werribee playing a qualifying final at Casey Fields on Sunday, all three emergencies have been named from North Ballarat who failed to make the VFL finals.
