The North Melbourne Kangaroos have added seven players to the squad to take on the Sydney Swans in Sunday's 1996 premiership reunion game.

Four players who missed last week due to entering the AFL's health and safety protocols - Aidan Corr, Lachie Young, Paul Curtis and Aaron Hall - have been included in the 26-man squad.

Flynn Perez has been added after his one-match suspension, while key defender Josh Walker and potential debutant Josh Goater also join him as ins.

Father-son draftee Jackson Archer has been ruled out with a hip injury, while Aiden Bonar and Phoenix Spicer have been omitted.

Despite being available for selection, star midfielder Ben Cunnington has not been named and is likely to make his long-awaited comeback via the VFL.

Having recovered from testicular cancer, Cunnington was set to return to play in July but suffered a calf strain in training, and last week tested positive for COVID-19.

Both the AFL and VFL teams will be confirmed on Friday at 5pm AEST.
