Cam Zurhaar has recommitted to North Melbourne, signing a contract extension which will see him at Arden St until at least the end of 2024.

A rookie draft selection, Zurhaar received a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in round 7, 2019, followed by a breakout 2020 season in which he was North Melbourne’s leading goalkicker.

Zurhaar’s six seasons at the club have seen him become one of the club’s most important players.

The 24-year-old power forward kicked a career-best 34 goals across 19 games this season including a six-goal haul in the team’s round 18 victory over Richmond.

“We are really pleased to have retained Cam’s services,” North Melbourne list and recruiting manager Brady Rawlings said.

“We know there was significant interest in Cam from opposition clubs, so it’s a great show of confidence in where we are headed as a football club that he has decided to remain with us for at least two more years.

“Cam is a player of high calibre who we see playing a big part in our future, and we look forward to seeing where he can take his football.”
