Recruit Liam Shiels has been locked in as North Melbourne's substitute for the AFL clash with the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday.

The 31-year-old has played all five games this season since joining the Kangaroos from Hawthorn.

There are no late changes for the match at Heritage Bank Stadium, with the Roos going in as selected for Todd Goldstein's 300th game.

Forward Paul Curtis and defender Aaron Hall come into the side, while going out will be co-captain Jy Simpkin (hand) and veteran Hugh Greenwood, who has been the substitute for the past fortnight.
