North Melbourne has made five changes for its Round 8 match-up with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium, with rookie draftee Blake Drury and impactful midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke among them.

Announced on Thursday, Oakleigh Chargers product and the No.1 pick in last year's Rookie Draft Drury will make his AFL debut after five appearances in the VFL.

The young speedster is the second Roo to be called up for their AFL debut this year, with Harry Sheezel being the first back in Round 1.

Davies-Uniacke will re-join Jy Simpkin and Ben Cunnington in the midfield after missing last weekend due to a heel issue.

In for their first senior games of 2023 are defender Flynn Perez and forward Jack Mahony, while Miller Bergman returns to the line-up for his first match since Round 3.

Making way is the omitted trio of Aaron Hall, Daniel Howe and Kayne Turner, and already confirmed forced outs Charlie Comben (ankle), Tom Powell (ankle), and Callum Coleman-Jones (concussion).

Hall, Turner and Howe have been named as emergencies alongside Charlie Lazzaro who has been impressing in the VFL.

One of the four emergencies will be named as the tactical substitute at 3.40pm AEST on Sunday afternoon.
