RACT is the official match day partner of Saturday’s clash against the Eagles and are supporting football in Tasmania for the next three years.
RACT activities at the match include hosting the curtain-raiser game where two underage, local footy teams are playing a Super 9’s game for the chance to be the inaugural winner of the RACT Community Cup. You’ll also find free game day activities at the RACT Fan Zone in the Northern Forecourt including face painting and free giveaways.
In addition, RACT is running a photo competition to win a $250 RACT Travel voucher and an official North Melbourne team signed guernsey! To enter simply locate RACT’s Cubeman around the ground, have your photo taken with him and email the photo to Cubeman@ract.com.au. You can double your prize money by heading to RACT’s Official Facebook page and tagging yourself in your photo once it’s been uploaded. MEMBERSHIP
TAS Season Ticket & Victorian TAS GA upgrades
All NMFC Tasmanian Season Ticket members and Social Club members without a reserved seat will be able to access the general admission areas by scanning their 2012 membership card at the turnstiles on the day. With a large crowd anticipated, we recommend arriving early.
NMFC reserved seat holders
North Melbourne Football Club reserved seat holders are encouraged to check the reserved seating allocation on their membership card prior to attending on Saturday, if they are yet to attend a home game at Blundstone Arena to ensure it is correct. If you have not received your 2012 membership yet or you have any queries, please head to the Northern Gate membership marquee. We recommend arriving early to avoid delays.
Membership marquee locations
North Melbourne membership marquees will be located outside the Northern gate and inside near Bay 1 of the Southern Stand from 10.30am for membership sales, member merchandise sales and queries.
Membership merchandise clearance sale
Exclusive member blanket clearance will sale will occur on Saturday from the 2 membership marquees. Blankets $5 each. Limited stock available.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Free Metro Park and Ride travel
The “Metro Park and Ride” system will provide free travel in the southern metropolitan area and other bus companies will also transport patrons to the game. Metro Tasmania are to operate a number of large articulated buses and these will all be at Bellerive Oval at the conclusion of the game to provide an effective means for patrons to leave..
ENTERTAINMENT
Kanga’s Kids’ Club
Visit the Kids’ Zone in the indoor cricket nets (on the South-Western side of the ground near the Stuart Spencer Stand) from 12pm on match day.
There will also be a jumping castle and balloon artist on the practice wickets near the indoor cricket centre.
RACT Superboot Challenge
Thanks to RACT, North Melbourne will be running a goal kicking challenge for kids prior to Saturday’s match.
Each child selected will get four shots at goal, each from a more difficult angle and the child with the most goals wins a special NMFC pack.
MERCHANDISE
Official North Melbourne Football Club merchandise will be available from the Roo Shop outlets inside the Northern Gate entrance, outside the Southern Gate entrance and inside the Southern Stand (between bays 6-8).
SEATING
Cheer Squad
The North Melbourne Cheer Squad will be located in the Southern Stand, Aisle 7.
SOCIAL CLUB
Exclusive Member Social Club
North Melbourne Football Club members have exclusive access to the Members’ Social Club located at the indoor cricket centre before and after Saturday’s match. Show your 2012 membership card for access to the room (subject to availability).
Following the match selected North Melbourne players will appear in the room for an interview.
Numbers are strictly limited so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
LEASEPLAN CARN THE KIDS
LeasePlan's community program, Carn the Kids, comes to Tasmania for the very first time together with North Melbourne's round 15 clash with the West Coast Eagles at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.
Carn the Kids gives fun days out to kids who might otherwise miss out, and has provided 20,000 kids and carers with these opportunities over the last 10 years. LeasePlan, Carn the Kids and North Melbourne have worked together since 2009 to host over 3,000 kids at Roos' games, complete with player visits, meat pies, drinks, face painting and showbags. Look out for the 120 kids here today and say hello!
