The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have added three players to the squad that defeated Melbourne two weeks ago in a qualifying final.

Ruck Liz McGrath, midfielder-forward Ruby Tripodi, and defender Lucy Burke all enter the selection frame for Sunday's massive preliminary final with Adelaide at Ikon Park.

It's the second straight season featuring a preliminary final berth for the Roos, who will be out to land a spot in the Grand Final for this first time in club history.

Darren Crocker's group has met Adelaide once already this season, with the Crows picking up the four points thanks to a late goal at Norwood Oval in Round 9.

North Melbourne's final 21-player team will be confirmed on Friday at 5pm AEDT.
