North Melbourne returns to Blundstone Arena on Saturday to face Yartapuutli/Port Adelaide in the second weekend of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.

The Roos are still on the hunt for their first win, while the Power will be eager to retain their spot in the top four.

Round 11, North Melbourne v Yartapuulti

Where: Blundstone Arena, Nipaluna/Hobart, TAS
When: Saturday, May 25 at 1.45pm AEST
How to watch: Foxtel, Kayo Sports

The opposition

The Power looked dead in the water with under a minute to play against Hawthorn last weekend, before kicking two goals in the final 22 seconds to snatch a dramatic victory.

Willie Rioli reduced the margin to five points before Darcy Byrne-Jones became the hero, soccering through the winner with just a couple of ticks left on the clock.

Having conceded the first four goals against the Hawks, Yartapuulti will aim to start better down in Nipaluna/Hobart.

The Power will be without powerful forward Charlie Dixon but are likely to regain captain Connor Rozee after he missed two games with a minor hamstring strain.

What the coaches have said

North Melbourne senior coach Alastair Clarkson, post-game v Essendon: "Essendon was just so much better than us today at being able to get composed when they needed to. I thought that was the difference in the two sides over the course of the game. We were really, really competitive obviously, but disappointed that the game got away from us in that third quarter."

Yartapuulti senior coach Ken Hinkley, post-game v Hawthorn: "We develop great belief from these types of wins and that's what happens in this competition, you have to find a way sometimes. That's the first time in a little where we've been behind and chased it down, which is really important for us … that creates belief."

In the mix

Key defender Kallan Dawson is a chance to slot back into the back six after missing five games due to an ankle injury.

Will Phillips picked up 24 disposals and six clearances in the reserves' loss to Essendon, while Cooper Harvey could come into consideration after 12 touches, six tackles, and two goal assists.

With Miller Bergman sidelined due to a hamstring strain, Riley Hardeman may be recalled if Alastair Clarkson wishes to make a like-for-like change.

Milestone watch

Defender Aidan Corr is set to bring up the 150-game milestone on Saturday.

Corr played 98 games as a Giant before arriving at Arden Street following the 2020 season, and brought up the half-century for appearances as a Roo in Round 9.

He's been one of the Kangaroos' best recent performers, collecting four coaches' votes for keeping St Kilda's Max King at bay in Round 8 before holding Essendon spearhead Kyle Langford to a solitary goal in Round 10.
