North Melbourne and Mazda will continue their iconic partnership for another three years, extending one of the longest-running sponsorships in Australian sport.

Mazda’s loyal support of the Kangaroos first began in 1999, and last year celebrated 25 years of partnership.

The latest extension will see Mazda continue its support through to the end of 2028 as the club’s co-major partner across AFL and AFLW.

The new three-year term will also see Mazda return as the naming rights partner of the club’s largest event on the calendar, the Mazda North Melbourne Grand Final Breakfast, which will enter its 59th year in 2025.

“North Melbourne is thrilled to continue our close relationship with Mazda, a loyal and trusted brand that has been an incredibly valued supporter of our club,” North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt said.

“Our relationship with Mazda has been a staple of our club for the best part of three decades and the partnership has seen the Mazda and North Melbourne brands become synonymous with one another.

“Our fans love the partnership – that’s never more obvious than when you see a car park full of Mazda vehicles on our home matchdays at Marvel Stadium.

“Mazda was a proud inaugural partner of our reigning AFLW Premiership team, and we’re excited to celebrate that contribution later in the year as part of our Centenary celebrations.”

Mazda Australia’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Jarrod Gieschen shared Watt’s excitement.

"Mazda is thrilled to continue our sponsorship with North Melbourne into the future,” Gieschen said.

“Tenacity and grit are defining characteristics of both Mazda and North, and these shared values have soldered our relationship, making it one of the strongest partnerships in Australian sport.”
