North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos fans will get their first look at high-profile trade arrival Eilish Sheerin as the Roos host Essendon in an AFLW practice match on Saturday.
Sheerin, a trade period arrival from Richmond, missed the Kangaroos' match simulation against the Western Bulldogs last Friday due to knee soreness, but has been named at half-back to face the Bombers.
Fellow new Roos Ariana Hetherington and Tessa Boyd will also line up in the match at Avalon Airport Oval, which will be live streamed on NMFC.com.au and the North Melbourne Official App from 12pm AEST.
Entry will be free for fans to attend in person.
Hetherington played in the ruck and up forward against the Bulldogs before being crunched hard from behind in a contest in the game's dying minutes.
She is named on an extended interchange bench while Boyd will start in the backline.
The game will be an important test for the Kangaroos as they tune up for Round 1, following their 16-point loss to the Bulldogs.
The Bombers were finalists in 2024, while the Kangaroos completed an unbeaten season to secure their first AFLW premiership.
