After a Round 1 win over Port Adelaide, North Melbourne must decide whether to take an unchanged line-up to face West Coast in Perth.

The Roos shut down the Power at Marvel Stadium in their season opener, winning by 46 points after six unanswered goals across the second and third quarters.

George Wardlaw is available for selection having recovered from a hamstring injury, and will be looking to break into a midfield that won the clearances 40-29 on Sunday.

Defender Riley Hardeman, who has shaken off an ankle issue, is also in the frame to play his first game of the new season, as is forward Charlie Spargo, who has been cleared to play after completing concussion protocols.

Small forward Zac Banch has raised his hand for an early season appearance following a string of positive performances during the VFL pre-season.

He kicked three goals against Essendon in a reserves practice match on Saturday and was a key link-up player heading inside 50.

"'Banchy' was a real standout on the weekend with his speed and pressure at ground level,” VFL coach Adam Marcon said post-game.

"He was tough in the contest, and his work rate was also fantastic."

Bailey Scott has also been impressing with his contest work and ability to get involved in transition in the VFL practice matches.

Fellow wingman Robert Hansen jnr was a carryover emergency for Sunday’s AFL game against Port Adelaide and may come into consideration as the Roos prepare for the Eagles.
