Tristan Xerri will face an AFL Tribunal hearing after he was charged with serious misconduct during Saturday night's win over Essendon.
North Melbourne's star ruck was cited for an incident involving Bombers captain Andrew McGrath during the second quarter at Marvel Stadium.
The AFL's match review officer laid the charge on Sunday and referred Xerri directly to the Tribunal.
Xerri's hearing will be on Monday night.
