Young forward Cooper Trembath has earned the Telstra AFL Rising Star nomination for Round 4, following a standout three-goal performance in North Melbourne’s thrilling Good Friday win over Carlton.
The 20-year-old was a constant threat inside 50 and proved his versatility by providing a pivotal presence in the ruck, recording 11 hitouts, while his high-flying marking has quickly become a trademark of his game across his first seven senior appearances.
Recruited with pick No.10 in the 2025 Mid-Season Draft, Trembath made an impact late last year, booting three goals in each of his first three games to close out the season.
That prolific goalscoring ability has carried into 2026, with the young Roo already tallying eight goals for the current campaign, including three against the Blues in Friday's SuperClash.
A product of the Eastern Ranges (Coates Talent League) and Park Orchards (EFNL), Trembath’s journey to AFL level is a testament to his work ethic and the club’s development.
After being overlooked in his initial draft year, he forced his way onto the AFL list via North Melbourne’s VFL program, while also featuring for Blackburn last season.
Trembath becomes the first North Melbourne player to receive a Rising Star nomination this year.
