kangaroos.com.au says:

It's been a frustrating year for Ben Warren who was unable to crack the senior team despite consistent good form for Werribee in the VFL. More than 50 goals for the Tigers translated to just the solitary AFL game; the disastrous fadeout against Port Adelaide in Round 8.

Once Brad Scott and the match committee struck gold with three genuine key position forwards, it was always going to be tough for the medium-sized Warren to force his way back in.

Nevertheless he has been a big part of Werribee's finals run and has the necessary tools to be a serviceable player in the North Melbourne setup.

Quotes

"He’s been named in Werribee’s best players in six of his nine matches and sits third on the goal-kicker’s list"
kangaroos.com.au

"It’s a testament to his hard work and intensity at the contest at VFL level."
Brad Scott on Warren’s selection against Port Adelaide

“I guess I’ve been labelled as hit-up player, and in recent times as a one-trick pony in getting the footy. I’ve just tried to work on that and add bits to my game so I can come into a side in a variety of roles in the forward-line.”
