Surfers Paradise
Key forward

From AFL.com.au

A tall forward at TAC Cup level, Larkey played down back for Vic Metro and acquitted himself well.

His athleticism means he was used on the wing at times, despite being taller than a traditional midfielder.

He can kick goals and also provides a back-up ruck option. Strong in the air, Larkey is raw and has plenty of upside.

From AFL National Talent Manager Kevin Sheehan

“Loved the way he finished his year … he’s genuine key position size, great contested mark, can play either end of the ground … I think it’s that versatility that separates him from others and he’s a boy that did play some Vic Metro footy and National Championships.

“Only lightly built, he’ll need to put on the body but he’s got the size straight away at 198, six-foot-six."

From Oakleigh Chargers coach Mick Stinear

“A versatile tall, had a successful national championships as a forward and a defender. Kicked three last-quarter goals in our win over Northern Knights.”
