Majak Daw has successfully completed his return to football, playing a quarter in North Melbourne’s VFL clash against Sandringham.

A big crowd at Arden Street gave Daw a fitting reception as he ran onto the ground, with a fist-pump signifying just how much it meant to the key-defender.

Daw played around 20 minutes, finishing with 4 disposals, as he was eased back into footy.

The Roos’ number 1 will up his game-time in the coming weeks.

"It was more 'Dip your toe in the water mate and see how you pull up'," VFL coach David Loader said.

"Maybe 'Maj' could've played longer, maybe he couldn't have, I'm not sure, but we just assess now after a small sample size and take it from there."
