Melbourne Uni (MUWFC) secured a finals berth after defeating NT Thunder by 17-points on Sunday.

Windy conditions made for a tough game, with Melbourne Uni trailing by one point at the main break.

Melbourne Uni booted three goals within six minutes at the start of the third term; a lead that proved to be match-winning.  

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ captain, Emma Kearney, led from the front amassing 29 disposals and a goal.

Fellow North teammates, Sophie Abbatangelo and Jenna Bruton, had 27 disposals each, with the former booting two goals.

Melbourne Uni will take on Geelong in an elimination final at 11.45am, Saturday, August 31 at Adcon Stadium.
