Tristan Xerri's jaw injury means Alastair Clarkson's match committee will have decisions to make ahead of Sunday's game against Essendon at Marvel Stadium.
North Melbourne's star ruck underwent surgery this week after a knock to his jaw against Richmond and will miss at least one game.
Talls Wil Dawson and Callum Coleman-Jones are potential call-ups if the Kangaroos decide they need support for Taylor Goad, Cooper Trembath and Jack Darling at the hitouts.
Dawson had 13 hitouts and 20 disposals in Sunday's VFL match against Richmond, played in muddy conditions in Port Melbourne, sharing the ruck load with Coleman-Jones (15 hitouts, 18 touches).
Riley Hardeman impressed in that match on his return from concussion, driving the Roos from half-back with 27 disposals, six marks and five intercepts. He may be considered along with the improving Josh Goater (24 disposals at 96 per cent efficiency, nine intercepts, six rebound 50s).
Tom Powell could be a midfield option if he passes a fitness test on Thursday, though he may return via the VFL after a prolonged rehab dealing with a groin complaint.
Midfielders Zac Fisher and Bailey Scott also ensured their names will feature in discussions after winning 35 and 32 disposals respectively in the reserves. Scott added seven inside 50s and five rebound 50s.
If Clarkson chooses to shake up his forward line, mid-season draftee Ollie Griffin could be in the mix, after he kicked a game-high four goals against the Tigers.
Tall forward Matt Whitlock continued his good form with another three goals, while small forwards Zac Banch (three goals), Lachy Dovaston (two) and Brayden George (two) all contributed.
