Four-year-old Pax Diment was born with craniosynostosis, a condition affecting the skull that has already required one major surgery (cranial vault remodelling). He requires another to enable him to play contact sports in the future.
Despite everything he's been through, Pax loves his footy. To play, he needs to wear headgear and that's where a special connection with the Kangaroos began.
Through mutual friends, North Melbourne defender Caleb Daniel and official club partner SWAARM arranged headgear for Pax and his dad, Clint. Clint now wears his helmet too, showing his son that it's cool to stand out.
On Sunday, which doubles as his birthday, Pax will run out onto Adelaide Oval with his new favourite player Daniel before the Roos take on Port Adelaide.
