After its first loss of the season last week, North Melbourne Werribee has returned to the winners list with a commanding 38-point victory over Sandringham

The Kangas tore the game apart in the premiership quarter, kicking six unanswered goals to create an enormous lead.

Despite Sandringham’s best efforts to claw back, the Roos were able to hold on in the last term and come out victorious.

The final score at Trevor Barker Beach Oval saw North Melbourne Werribee win 12.7 (79) to 6.5 (41).

Ava Seton once again led from the middle with 22 disposals and eight tackles. She was joined by Poppy Ella Schaap, who registered 19 disposals and six marks, as well as unselfishly setting up multiple teammates for majors.

Emma Hurley (13 hitouts, nine disposals) was the Roos leading goalkicker, booting through three. Nyakoat Dojiok (14 disposals, six score involvements) and Stella Reid (11 disposals, eight tackles) also added two goals each.

The catalyst

The six-goal run that the Roos produced in the third quarter was sparked by Molly Eastman, who intercepted the ball inside 50 before squaring up to send one through the sticks.

North Melbourne Werribee has become the first team this season to reach 10 wins, setting up a blockbuster next week against Williamstown.
