After an injury interrupted start to the season, Hansen was on the cusp of breaking into the side until he was rubbed out with an untimely three-week suspension for rough conduct in the VFL.
In the Interactive Team of the Week video, Brad Scott outlined the reasons for bringing Hansen back into contention.
"He's been performing really well at VFL level for the last couple of months. He had a lot of things to work on over the last six to twelve months and we feel he's gone a long way towards rectifying a lot of those things and deserves his chance.”

Liam Anthony's 35 disposals in just 72 percent game time for North Ballarat has also earned him inclusion in the squad. Considering he was also one of the travelling emergencies in the Gold Coast last weekend, he must be close to a recall.
"Liam had some things to work on and responded in the best possible fashion. He was really a game winner for North Ballarat last weekend in pretty trying circumstances after travelling back from the Gold Coast late Saturday night and playing Sunday,” Scott added.
"The way he carried himself was really positive and had a big impact on the game. The defensive side of his game has improved too.”
Rounding out the 25-man squad is former Hawk, Will Sierakowski; another who has impressed at VFL level and is being rewarded for his efforts.
"He's a really precise user of the footy so again, another player we're keen to get into our team."
