Premiership Roos Erika O’Shea and Eilish Sheerin could make their playing returns in Saturday’s Indigenous Round clash with Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) at RSEA Park in Moorabbin.
O’Shea, who missed Round 3's win over the Western Bulldogs after suffering a head knock against Brisbane, has returned to team training after completing mandatory concussion protocols.
She’ll face a fitness test later in the week, as will Eilish Sheerin, who missed the Bulldogs match due to a knee issue.
“Eilish was managed last week with knee swelling after she had a knock to the side of her leg in the Brisbane game," senior physiotherapist Billy Williams said.
“We decided to take a conservative approach and take some more time to let the swelling settle, and she’s bounced back really well.”
Nicole Brensehan (knee) is on track for a potential return to play in one week after completing a block of full training, while Taylah Gatt continues to close in on a comeback from her groin injury.
“Taylah is back completing conditioning running, change of direction movements and kicking, which will build out more this week,” Williams said.
As reported on Friday, midfielder Mia King will miss the rest of the 2026 season after she underwent successful spinal fusion surgery in Brisbane last week.
King returned home to Melbourne this week as she continues to recover post-surgery.
