The Tigers finished second-last in 2010 with just four wins, but are now just a game away from a Grand Final appearance against either Port Melbourne or the Northern Bullants.
First they'll have to overcome Williamstown and that looks no easy feat given the Seagulls' thrashing of North Ballarat a fortnight ago.
Ben McKinley and Ben Warren will again be the main focal points up forward and last week, the pair pulled down 11 marks between them. McKinley in particular, who sits third on the VFL goal-kicking list with 51, will need to perform in front of the big sticks if Werribee is to be any chance.
Ben Ross' last month has been terrific and his six goals in the past fortnight have been pivotal to the team's success. He's been named in a forward pocket, while fellow line-breaker Gavin Urquhart will look to utilise his skills by foot to provide plenty of opportunities inside 50.
Urquhart was one of the Tigers' most important contributors when the game was in the balance last week, as was Jamie Macmillan who held strong in one-on-one contests and provided plenty of rebound going the other way.
Majak Daw will share the ruck duties with former West Coast Eagle Will Sullivan and will be in for one of the greatest challenges of his career against Will Minson and Jordan Roughead.
The ruck battle could well be where the game is won, but the Seagulls also boast a large AFL contingent that could prove advantageous.
Last time around Williamstown booted 13 goals in a closely-fought win, with 12 of those kicked by Bulldogs-listed players.
Josh Hill, Mitch Hahn, Ed Barlow, Dylan Addison and Brennan Stack all have plenty of experience at the highest level and their experience will be vital, but the Tigers can't be underestimated. The likes of Dom Gleeson, Leigh Harding and Travis Tuck through the middle will ensure the result goes right down to the wire.
North Melbourne supporters are encouraged to get to TEAC Oval to cheer on the club's VFL affiliate on Sunday.
Entry is just $15 for adults with children under 15 FREE.
