North Melbourne has completed a trade with Melbourne, which sees Zane Duursma depart to the Demons.

In exchange for the 21-year-old, the Kangaroos have received picks No.33 and No.49, while giving up pick No.52.

Selected with pick No.4 in the 2023 AFL Draft out of the Gippsland Power, Duursma played 38 games and kicked 28 goals for the club after making his debut in Round 1, 2024.

Head of football talent Brady Rawlings thanked Duursma for his time and efforts at Arden Street.

"Zane has made a valuable contribution to our club over his three seasons, and we wish him all the best with the next stage of his career.

"Since the Trade Period opened, we've had open and honest conversations with Zane and his management to ensure we worked through a fair outcome for all parties involved.

"We are happy with the deal we've struck and what we've been able to secure in return, which strengthens our hand for this trade and draft period."
