The senior North Melbourne team and its VFL counterpart enjoyed impressive wins over Richmond on the weekend resulting in more pressure for spots.

With a number of impressive performances across both games, North Media takes a look at those in the mix for selection for the upcoming clash with the Gold Coast Suns.

Defenders

Sam Durdin was impressive in the backline on Saturday, collecting 22 disposals and 6 marks.

Ben McKay stood tall alongside Durdin with 13 possessions and 5 marks, and having played three games in the AFL so far this season, he will no doubt be looking to return as soon as possible.

Tom Murphy made an impressive return from an ankle injury with 13 touches, and with Jamie Macmillan a chance to miss with a calf injury, he could be a possible replacement.

Midfielders

Paul Ahern was at his very best against the Tigers, collecting 33 disposals and 6 tackles. Ahern has been an unfortunate victim of the Roos inside midfield depth, and performances like this are sure to keep him in the frame for a recall.

Kyron Hayden edges ever closer to a debut, having been an emergency in recent weeks. The young midfielder had 22 disposals and a goal.

Tom Campbell continues to dominate in the ruck at VFL level with another 21 disposals and 26 hitouts.

Aaron Hall has been super-consistent in recent weeks, and had a 15 possession, 2 goal game while Bailey Scott continues to show his quality with 14 touches.

Forwards

Taylor Garner had arguably his best game of the season racking up 18 disposals, 9 marks and 3 goals.

Curtis Taylor showed his class in front of goal, kicking 3 straight.

Nathan Hrovat has been a consistent performer in the state league this season, and he had another fine game, collecting 17 disposals and 2 goals.

Lachie Hosie made one hell of a first impression after being recruited in the Mid-Season Rookie Draft. The forward showed his aerial ability and goal nous, taking 8 marks and kicking 3 goals.
