Sam Durdin has copped a one-match ban from the Match Review Officer for rough conduct against Gary Rohan.

The third quarter incident saw Durdin clash heads with his Cats’ opponent, with Rohan leaving the field.

The incident was assessed as careless, with medium-high impact and having a reasonably foreseeable consequence by electing to bump.

Meanwhile, Taylor Garner was cleared for contact with Tom Stewart in the third quarter, and Gary Ablett escaped suspension for his second quarter hit on Sam Wright.

Sam Durdin, North Melbourne has been charged with engaging in Rough Conduct against Gary Rohan, Geelong Cats during the third quarter of the Round Eight match between North Melbourne and the Geelong Cats, played at Marvel Stadium on Saturday May 11.

In summary he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct with Medium Impact and High Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction.

Update: Durdin accepted his one week sanction, and will miss the Round 9 clash with the Swans.
