North fans will be treated to double-header at Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday, with the North Melbourne-aligned Melbourne University Women’s Football Club playing before the North VFL side.
Captained by North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos signing Ash Riddell, the team affectionately known as the ‘Mugars’, is set to include other high-profile recruits including Emma Kearney and Kate Gillespie-Jones.
The women will take-on the NT Thunder from 11.50am, before the North VFL side face the Box Hill Hawks from 2.10pm.
North fans are invited to make their way to Avalon Airport Oval to support some of the stars of the club’s inaugural AFLW side, and cheer on over a dozen AFL-listed players later in the day.
