North Melbourne supporters have delivered the club an early Christmas present with donations to the ‘Box On’ debt reduction campaign totaling more than a quarter of a million dollars.

Loyal fans have continued to purchase Premiership Pledges and contribute in any way they can with the tally reading $251,225 and steadily building toward $300,000.

“It’s astounding really that just last week we were talking about the 250 thousand dollar mark and today we have smashed through it,” CEO Eugene Arocca told kangaroos.com.au.

“We have to remember that we only launched the Pledges a couple of weeks ago. The response has been extremely encouraging but we realise there is a long way to go.”

Arocca recently penned a heartfelt letter about his feelings for the club and hopes all football loving people read it and realise just how important and unique the Kangaroos are to the competition.

“I never intended for the letter to be made public, but after the ‘Box On’ campaign was launched, I felt it was important to open up and share my passion for this club. I hope it encourages others to express themselves in a similar way and dig deep to help us with debt.

“We will be launching some more incentives in the new year to make sure this campaign keeps rolling on.”
