After a great win last week, North Melbourne will go into Saturday night’s clash against Collingwood with plenty of confidence.

Jarrad Waite is set to miss with a calf injury, which means there will be at least one change, while the good form of several players in the VFL will make for an interesting week at selection.

NMFC.com.au looks at those in the mix for a call-up.

Forwards

After enjoying a taste of AFL football against Essendon, Nick Larkey will look to make his return from knee soreness this week.

Lindsay Thomas booted four goals for Werribee to put his hand up for a recall, while versatile forward/midfielder Cam Zurhaar was one of the best players on the field with 18 disposals and 2 goals.

Midfielders

Big man Todd Goldstein was back to some of his best form at VFL level, while speedster Josh Williams was unlucky to be omitted with senior players returning last week and could get another opportunity.

Jed Anderson has put together a solid month at Werribee and excelled on the inside when the game was in the balance on Sunday.

Defenders

He’s more known for his work in the back half, but Lachlan Hansen has become somewhat of a swingman for Werribee in recent weeks, holding strong in defence and providing a spark during stints in attack.

The 28-year-old could be called upon at either end of the ground.
