They say change can be as good as a holiday, and for Aiden Bonar the move to North Melbourne could be just what he needs.

“It’s a fresh start for me but also for this club, there are a lot of new faces and it will be great for everyone to gel together,” Bonar told North Media.

“I’m really confident and really excited.”

North’s four rising star nominations in 2019 and a young playing list just add to Bonar’s excitement.

“For me being able to see that North has a bunch of young lads that are actually playing… well it’s a big tick for me,” he said.

“That’s why I wanted to come here, there’s obviously a lot of opportunity and Shawry (Rhyce Shaw) really has something going.”

Playing with new teammates, it’s also who he’ll be playing in front of that makes Bonar smile.

“A new club and being back in my home state means I’ll be playing in front of family and friends,” he said.

“I can’t wait to show them how I play, it will be unreal and I can’t wait to get started.”
