Held at the BMS Telecorp call centre on Monday night, the telethon saw Kangaroos’ staff and players urging fans to get in early and avoid the queues expected at Etihad Stadium ahead of the blockbuster clash against the Bombers.
Hard-nut Levi Greenwood showed his softer side by charming the North Melbourne faithful and managed to single-handedly sign 38 members.
And it didn’t stop there; several supporters opted to go the extra yard and purchase a Premiership Pledge to ensure they beat the cut-off date to have their name on the jumper in Round 22.
The fantastic response to the telethon now sees the club’s membership tally edge towards 28,000.
