In: Pick 23 (Drew Petrie)
Out: Evan Hewitt (Adelaide)

North received pick 23 for Evan Hewitt, who was one of a number of key forwards unable to break into the successful Kangaroos' team of the late 1990's.

In the National Draft, North selected Drew Petrie which was an inspired choice. Looking back, Petrie has turned out to be arguably one of the best three players from that year's selections - great value for a player selected at 23.

Hewitt was unable to make his mark at Adelaide, playing only 15 games in two seasons.
