North Melbourne great and now executive film producer Glenn Archer is putting the call out for football fans to join him on the set of a new Australian movie.

Directed by Richard Gray, ‘Blinder’ began filming recently and is about to begin its football match sequences in Torquay. Archer says to make it realistic, a big crowd of extras is needed.

“I’m asking for North fans and all footy fans for that matter to head down to the Torquay Football Club and be a part of a great Aussie film,” he told kangaroos.com.au.

“We’ve got a star-studded cast and it is great to see how movies are made, so if you’re free and in the area, we’d love to see you there.”

Legendary actor Jack Thompson has just joined the cast which includes Oliver Ackland, Rose McIver, Anna Hutchison, Josh Helman, Angus Sampson, Bob Morley and Zoe Carides.

“It’s been a fascinating project to be a part of,” Archer said.

“You don’t realise just how much time and effort goes into making a movie until you’re actually on set and involved.”

Fellow North Melbourne champion Sam Kekovich is also an executive producer as well as former Carlton player Adrian Gleeson.

Filming in Torquay will wrap up soon with the cast and crew headed to Boston in May.

Fans wishing to help Archer out should head to the Torquay Football Club on Monday, April 2nd and Tuesday, April 3rd from 9am.
